The Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution says the United States assassination of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani has only further strengthened the very campaign that the anti-terror commander set in motion.
The Leader said Washington’s miscalculations have resulted in the US government making wrong decisions, which, in turn, have led to its failure. Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei noted that the United States’ profound animosity toward the Islamic Republic emanates from the religious nature of Iran’s establishment. According to the Leader, tyrants have always been opposed to movements and establishments with a religious foundation. The Leader delivered the speech on the anniversary of the 19-78 uprising in Iran against the dictatorial rule of the then Pahlavi monarch.
