Israeli raids intensify two weeks into Muslim holy month of Ramadan

Tensions simmering in the occupied Palestinian territories during the fasting month of Ramadan. Israeli forces have attacked Palestinian worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque, Al-Quds city.

More than 150 Palestinians were injured and another 400 arrested. Palestinian resistance groups have condemned the attack. Hamas called it a vicious raid and pledged to defend al-Aqsa at any price. The Islamic Jihad described the attack as a crime and said Israel is responsible for the repercussions of its aggression. The Palestinian Authority reacted too, saying that aggression against Al-Aqsa is equivalent to crossing all red lines. It warned that the Israeli attack is a dangerous provocation which could lead to endless wars in the region. Israeli forces have intensified crackdown across the occupied West Bank, killing a dozen Palestinians since Sunday. The crackdown follows a series of deadly operations against Israelis.
