The secretary-general of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement has rejected as lies the Israeli prime minister’s claims about the group’s missile sites.

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said Benjamin Netanyahu is trying to provoke the Lebanese people against the resistance movement with such lies. He was referring to Netanyahu’s allegations, during his speech at the UN general assembly, that Hezbollah is storing missiles in a secret depot at a residential neighborhood in Beirut. Elsewhere in his remarks, Nasrallah also slammed France for obstructing the formation of a new government in Lebanon and trying to put the blame on Hezbollah. He said Paris was pushing for the formation of cabinet without the interaction of Lebanese factions. Prime Minister-designate Mustapha Adib stepped down last week, almost a month after he was tasked with forming a new government.
