Russia says would reciprocate new US sanctions

The Kremlin says Russia will reciprocate the latest round of US sanctions, saying President Vladimir Putin would decide what counter measures to hit Washington with. Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said Washington’s obsession with imposing sanctions remains unacceptable to Russia. He added that Putin and his American counterpart Joe Biden do not share the same vision of building mutually beneficial ties. Peskov said Putin had repeatedly stressed that Russia was ready to cooperate as much the US wanted to cooperate with it. On Thursday, Biden signed an executive order to impose a broad array of sanctions against Russia. The sanctions were in response to a wide range of alleged Russian malign actions, including meddling in last year's U-S election, cyber hacking and actions against Ukraine. Russia denies the accusations.
