A small jungle has been inaugurated inside a French zoo near Paris, which resembles tropical rainforests. It shelters some of the world's most endangered animals.

The equatorial dome, built in Beauval Zoo, has a surface of over 13-thousand square meters. It houses over 2-hundred species, from fish and birds to monkeys. In the mini-jungle, temperatures rise to 26 degrees Celsius, creating a tropical climate. The 38-meter-high dome took over two years to build, costing more than 43 million dollars.
