French President, Emmanuel Macron, has once again repeated his anti-Islam rhetoric by linking extremism and terroristic activities by Daesh terrorist group to Islam. Macron made the comments during a regional summit in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad. In the summit devoted to the fight against terrorism, Macron claimed France defeated Daesh, adding that the battle against Islamic terrorism is not over. This isn’t the first time the French president has made anti-Islam comments. Last year, he called Islam religion in crisis globally and said it needs to be contained. Macron’s anti-Islam stance then drawn widespread criticism from the Muslim world and led to anti-France protests.
