The US Secretary of State has admitted that Washington made a terrible mistake by unilaterally pulling out of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, JCPOA. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Antony Blinken said Iran escalated its nuclear activity as a result of the US withdrawal. He also touched upon Vienna talks between Iran and the remaining parties to the accord. The top American diplomat said the runway is getting very, very short for negotiations, given Tehran’s technological advances. Meanwhile, Britain warned that negotiations in the Austrian capital are the last chance for Iran to sign up for the JCPOA. That's a day before a new round of talks in Vienna. Iran says it will only return to full compliance with the agreement if the U-S removes all sanctions verifiably.
